  The Yamaha Drive² electric 4-seater option is the ideal choice if the primary purpose of your golf car is not for golfing, but for your family to use around the estate, or any other commercial applications where transporting a few passengers is preferable.

  We use a Yamaha built 4-seater kit or our own custom built model, depending on stock and your preferences.

• Mining Industry Golf Car

  Golf Car Associates has been supplying Yamaha golf carts to the Coal Mining Industry for more than 7 years. The golf carts are used predominantly below the surface. The 48V (AC or DC) Yamaha electric golf cart is particularly well suited for the purpose of getting managers, technicians, contractors and others efficiently down to the working face in a coal mine.

  Golf Car Associates’ Mining Vehcile has been built to perfection over many years of experince supplying to the coal mining industry. Electric cart are suited best and both the standard 48V DC and faster 48V AC are available. The main advantages of the Yamaha mining cart are:

  • The Yamaha golf cart has a steel chassis;
  • The cart has a powerful 48V, 2.6 kW shunt wound electric motor capable of easily coping with the typical inclines in a coal mine; and
  • The cart is reliable and robust.

  Golf Car Associates has developed the capability of fitting rugged steel doors, 3 point over-shoulder seat belts, independent emergency front braking system, fire extinguishers and various lighting systems to provide a package that is acceptable to the DME and Mining Inspector. Furthermore, Golf Car Associates will fit the appropriate decals and suspension (standard or raised) to suit the requirements at your mine.

  Golf Car Associates works closely with Yamaha to provide upgraded sealed electrical wiring harnesses and marine standard switches so that these components cope even better with the corrosive and wet environment typically found underground in a coal mine.

  We have worked with our battery suppliers to find a solution with higher amp-hour capacity for those older mines with a very long run from the shaft entrance to the face. We can supply a long range solution where the cars will be capable of 50 km or more, in steep tough conditions, on a single charge.

  The standard cart is fitted with six 8V batteries (170 amp-hours), however we can also fit eight 6V batteries to provide 240 amp-hours (without vehicle modification).

  The Yamaha Ambulance golf cart is available as a 48V electric (AC or DC), or 357cc (carburetted or fuel injected) 4-stroke petrol cart. Ideal for use at big crowd events, sports stadiums, exhibition grounds, factories, airports, mines and many other venues.

  The mediCAR golf cart comes standard with a 360͒ flashing LED light, oxygen cylinder holder, medical bag storage area, drip hook and rear-facing paramedic’s chair. Additions such as head & tail-lights, hooter, indicators, decals, ECG machine, jump bag, trauma bag or any other special requirements can be arranged to specification.
